A mass is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month at 2:00 pm. After the mass, the group meets in the fellowship hall to share experiences and to visit with friends. The Filipino Ministry professes to live the Gospel and express their love for Christ through prayers and ministry to one another and to others in need. Some of the activities we sponsor are listed below
The Filipino Ministry sponsors a Luau dinner each year and proceeds go to the Church building fund.
The Filipino Ministry participates in the parish’s Breakfast Sunday. We mainly serve traditional Filipino breakfast, consisting of fried rice, scrambled eggs, and longganisa (sweet sausage).
Festival of Filipino Martyrs. San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod
The feast is held at St. Joseph the Worker parish, Weirton, West Viginia, each year around September 28. The festival is preceded with a Triduum of masses. We rent a bus or van (depending on the number of participants) to go to Weirton, West Virginia.
Pilgrim Virgin of Our Lady of Fatima
We offer the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to travel from house to house. This is to strengthen the age-old tradition that “the family who prays together, stays together.”
To inspire, encourage, and support the participation of all Catholics in the surrounding community.
To foster collaborative ministry with St. Leo Catholic Church.
To promote unity through diversity.
